Job Overview:
As a Sr. Chemical Engineer, you will lead the design, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes critical to rare earth metallization and magnet manufacturing. You will ensure the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of chemical operations, while working closely with cross-functional teams to commercialize advanced materials and environmentally responsible processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and optimize chemical processes for rare earth separation, metallization, and surface treatments.
· Scale laboratory processes to pilot and full-scale manufacturing.
· Collaborate with process engineers, metallurgists, and materials scientists to ensure seamless integration of chemical processes into production flows.
· Drive continuous improvements in process safety, yield, and environmental performance.
· Prepare and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and process control plans.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex chemical process issues.
Qualifications:
· BS/MS in Chemical Engineering (PhD preferred).
· 5+ years of industrial experience in chemical process development or scale-up.
· Experience with rare earths, specialty chemicals, or metals strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of process modeling, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
